I met with my next boudie client yesterday and she’s lovely! Can’t wait to shoot her next week.
She mentioned during our pre-session consultation that she’s self conscious about her stomach. And that seems to be a very common worry or problem area. So much of flattering women is about lighting and angles but there are also choices in wardrobe you can make that will help with this concern so I thought I’d share some with you.
1. Babydolls are outfits that flatter your chest while leaving flowing material over your midriff area. This can be a nice choice for some coverage. It’s also fun to play with the material in the shoot so a fun option. The one below can be found here.
2. Corsets are also a great choice for cinching in the waist, creating a flattering curve, and getting some awesome detail shots! There are SOOO many different beautiful corsets out there! Pair them with some basic panties and stockings and you have an amazing outfit! The one shown is reversible and can be found here.
3. Another beautiful and very sexy option is known as the waist cincher or waspies. I think these are really awesome and can be so beautiful! The one shown can be found here.
I must admit that I absolutely ADORE this last outfit! I’m not even sure you can buy it in the US but if ever I were going to spend a fortune on a complete lingerie look, this would be the one. {sigh} PS Feel free to share this info with my adoring non-American hubby.
Or if any of you want to wear one for your shoot and then sell it to me, I will give you a HUGE discount on your session.
But I digress…
Just remember to consider your body type and in particular the areas that you most want to downplay in your shoot and choose your outfits accordingly. Obviously if you are concerned about your mid-section, then choosing bra and panty sets may not make the most sense. And, as always, I’m here for advice and suggestions. That’s part of the pre-shoot fun!
Enjoy!
